Building Community One Race at a Time

Owning a small business is never dull. We’re always looking for ways to grow and evolve, and a few years ago we added events to the mix. I have to say—hosting fun, local 5Ks and 10Ks has been an absolute blast. It’s easily one of the most enjoyable things we do. I love seeing our community come together and get active. We work hard to keep our events affordable, and if you’ll allow me a brief humble brag… our medals are the best around.

Our events business has continued to grow, and people are really responding to the energy and sense of community we’re creating. We’re excited to build on that momentum this year. One big goal? Our largest Thanksgiving race ever—over 1,000 participants. That’s still a few months away, but we’re already fired up.

Last February we hosted the Day 3000 Spectacular, an event celebrating two things: me hitting 3,000 consecutive days of running and our vendors coming together for a massive try-on experience. This year, that event has evolved into Swipe Right: A Footwear Love Story, and the goal is simple—to host the best demo try-on event ever.

We’ve invited all of our vendors to Cornerstone Park in Henderson. For $30, you can try on as many shoes as you want and take them for a spin on a one-mile loop (or honestly, even just down the sidewalk and back). We’ll have prizes, swag, and plenty of fun. Your entry includes a shirt and full access to all of our vendors and their goodies. Plus, every time you try on a pair of shoes, you earn a raffle ticket. Trust me—you don’t want to miss this one.

Personally, this might be my favorite event of the year. It’s a great excuse for our community to come out, try new shoes, and just celebrate running together. This year it also happens to fall the day before the Super Bowl, making it a perfect way to burn off some energy before the big game. I hope you’ll join us at Cornerstone Park for Swipe Right: A Footwear Love Story on February 7.

Then March rolls around, and with it comes St. Patrick’s Day—and the return of Little Man Flynn. The Feisty Leprechaun is back for his third year, and making the Little Man Flynn videos is some of the most fun I have all year. You can watch the full collection on our YouTube playlist  by clicking here!

We’d love for you to be part of it. Whether it’s your first race or your fiftieth, our events are about community, connection, and having a great time together. Check out the full event calendar at https://rrrc.run/events-calendar/, sign up for a race (or three), and bring a friend. Come run with us, celebrate with us, and help us continue building something special—one event at a time.
